HUSV 2100. Introduction to Human Services. (W) (3) A focus on the foundations and framework of issues and factors affecting the structure and delivery of human services. (Fall, Spring)

HUSV 3101. Cultural and Scientific Impact. (3) Interaction between the practice of science and its impact upon learning in modern culture. (Fall)

HUSV 3102. The Adult Years. (3) Biological and psychological development pertaining to maturation. (On demand)

HUSV 3110. Leadership Theory and the Dynamics of Group Processes. (3) Examination of the dynamics of leadership behavior and group processes. Combines the theoretical and practical aspects of leadership through a variety of teaching/learning formats including small group laboratory methods. (Spring)

HUSV 3190. Public Relations for Human Services Agencies. (3) The basics of the theories and practices of public relations as applied to human services organizations. (Fall)

HUSV 3210. Management of Human Service Agencies. (3) Prerequisites: HUSV 2100 and 3110. Introduction to terminology, theories, concepts, processes and functions in the management of human service agencies. (Spring)

HUSV 3410. Practicum in Human Services. (6) In an agency setting, practicum provides an opportunity for the student to apply general theory to practical experience, professional and ethical issues, as well as skill building. (Fall, Spring, Summer)

HUSV 3416. Internship in Human Services. (6) In a setting specifically appropriate to his/her area of concentration, the student is involved in a variety of practices which further integrates experiential learning and a theory with emphasis on skill development. (Fall, Spring, Summer)

HUSV 3619. Senior Seminar in Human Services. (3) A synthesis, coordination and supplement to previous learning. Students share and evaluate their internship experiences and address specific topics that better prepare them for the job market. (Fall, Spring)

HUSV 3800. Individual Study in Human Services. (1-6) Prerequisite: permission of the student's adviser and an appropriate individual study director. Designed to allow a student to pursue individual goals under the supervision of an appropriate faculty member. May be repeated for credit. (Fall, Spring, Summer)

HUSV 5000. Selected Topics in Human Services. (3-6) (3-6G) Prerequisite: permission of the Department of Human Services. Seminars, independent study and clinical experiences. May be repeated for credit, with approval. (Fall, Spring)

HUSV 5103. Substance Abuse: Primary Prevention. (3) (3G) Primary prevention concepts, research, and programming and introduction to psychoactive drugs, their effects on the human physical function, intellectual perception, and psyche. (Spring) (Evenings)
