NUPC 6140. Parent and Child Health Nursing I. (4G) Prerequisites: BIOL 6050 or equivalent; physical assessment course. Assessment and management of clients of childbearing and childrearing families focusing on the theoretical concepts in parenting, family development, nurturing and human sexuality with emphasis on the development and behavior of children as biopsychosocial beings in the context of the illness-wellness continuum. NUPC 6145. Parent and Child Health Nursing II. (4G) Prerequisite: NURS 6140. Continuation of NURS 6140 with focus on acute, complex care problems of children or pregnant women and their families. (Fall)
